Confetti & Spice School

Since we opened the store at 47a, Duke Street, Henley-on-Thames, we have been constantly asked if we would consider doing classes. Due to popular demand and pressure from you, the public, we can now announce that we have finally given in and have put together a complete package in three stages. It covers the beginner to the accomplished professional! We hope we can teach you in stages and progressive levels the important skills you will need to create all the centre pieces for all of life’s celebrations.

COURSE 1: DISCOVER CAKE DECORATING

Instructions include basic techniques on cake baking, how to prepare the cake ready for covering to achieve that smooth finish, the best mixers to use and how to get the most out of them, plus how to decorate your first cake or desserts. Hopefully you can be proud and delighted by your creation which you can then take home to share with friends and loved ones.

This one day intensive course costs £195 per person which includes champagne, lunch and tea - with a complimentary Confetti & Spice apron. The school will provide all the ingredients, tools and equipment required for the course. They must be returned at the end of the class. The store will stock everything you will have used which can be purchased downstairs. A 10% discount applies on purchases made on that day only. (maximum number of people 15)

COURSE 2: FLOWERS AND BORDERS

Dramatic results can be achieved with the lessons from this course. This builds on the skills acquired in Course 1. The subjects will include: Design Concept, The Foundation of Piping, Use of Colour, (mixing & blending) Shell and Flower making: the start of making memorable and unique cakes.

This is a one day course, costing £225 per person, which includes champagne, lunch and tea plus a complimentary Confetti &Spice apron to take home. The school will provide all the ingredients, tools and equipment required for the course. They must be returned at the end of each class. The store will stock everything you will have used. These can be purchased at the end of the course in the store downstairs. A 10% discount applies on purchases made on that day only. (maximum number of people 15)

COURSE 3: TIERED CAKES & LACE WORK

This two day intensive Masterclass includes a four tiered wedding cake to decorate and take home and costs £650 (maximum number of people 8) Champagne, lunch and tea included on both days.

SHORT COURSES

We also hold small and intimate classes of 5 people only, focusing and mastering one subject. The duration for these classes is three hours due to their intensity. These are for the professional who wants to improve on one specialised subject and also for people who are on a higher level of cake decorating. Cost is £95 per person and includes tea and coffee. Booking early for these is essential due to the limited number of places and high demand.
