We will teach you all the various aspects of cupcake making and how to achieve flat cupcakes, decorated with sugarpaste ready rolled icing.
This course will include the various uses of chocolate in cakes - how to temper chocolate and the use of of non-tempering chocolate. We will also show you how to make decorations with chocolate, make ganache, baking with chocolate and finishing with chocolate cigarillos in white or plain chocolate.
The emphasis of this class is to teach you the baking essentials that you will require for beautiful and successful baking every time!
The focus will be on how to mix and make a madeira or chocolate sponge cake moist and to rise evenly.
This is a one day course. We will teach you how to re-create this sparkling cake which can be used as a very modern wedding cake or a very cool birthday cake for someone special.
On this course, the bottom layer will be a 9'' sponge cake - and we will teach you how to ice it. For the next two tiers - 7'' and 5'' - we will be using cake dummies.
